Week 11 Reflective Post
This week, we got our final scenes ready which was of Omario getting told off by a teacher because of his absence and the poor grades that he is currently achieving. We believed that having this scene would have a good impact on our overall piece because it allows the audience to know more about Omario's character.

Week 10 Reflective Post
This week was our most important week yet, as we created a whole new opening sequence since we thought that the old one was very boring. Our target was to create an opening sequence that would intrigue our audience and contains some action so that our piece wouldn't be boring to watch, something that could make our audience be deterred from watching our film.
Our idea is completely new, but based around the same plot - a teenager who is involved with drugs. Rather than just having me just walking outside of my house all the way to the school, we decided to jump straight in to the school scenes and film the teenager's desire for cocaine. This is so that the audience understands what type of personality my character has right from the start which could make our audience want to see more. We believe that this idea is much better than our previous idea as it contains more action and is far more interesting.
Moreover, we filmed the buildup towards the drug scenes, such as the text messages coming in, the reactions of Edward and the walking in to the toilet. Doing this quickly and to a good standard was very good for us as we could get it out of the way and move on to editing as soon as possible as we were falling behind in time because of all the re-shooting required.
Other than filming this week, we created a small Powerpoint slide talking about the type of audience that we would expect to watch our opening sequence. We created this so that we could understand further the purpose of our opening sequence and how it could attract people from different backgrounds.

Week 9 Reflective Post
This was a very productive week. Firstly, when we came back to school, we put our current filming together and got feedback from our teacher. The feedback was what we expected - it had good some good camera shots, but it was a boring piece.
Therefore, we had to think of a new idea if we were going to have a decent grade for our coursework.
